Every quarter of an hour, a part of the Westminster melody is played. With every additional quarter of an hour, another part of the melody is added. The full melody sounds on the hour and then the clock strikes the hour.
Automatic night switch-off
The automatic night shutdown is activated from 10 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. At this time, the beat or melody is turned off.
