The developers of the new Jacques Farel Hayfield collection have put many working hours, passion, ideas and emotions into their project. The aim was to make the watch as sustainable as possible. The project is also characterised by the idea that we should refocus to the essentials in order to experience time more consciously. We are supposed to just try to remember making a break within the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The used materials

The walnut wood used for our watch of the week, the Jacques Farel Hayfield ORW 1007, is FSC certified and comes from controlled cultivation. This FSC symbol stands for transparency and credibility and ensures that people and nature are treated fairly. After stamping, filing and drilling the wood for the casing ring, it is sealed and coated with a varnish that protects the wood from moisture and dryness.

The green leather bracelet of our ORW 1007 also consists of a natural German eco-leather. The colours of the bracelets are free of heavy metals and chromium. The International Association of Natural Textiles, the Association for Organic Agriculture and the European Foundation for Allergy Research have certified the colours for environmental and health compatibility. Even the surfaces were neither coated with environmentally harmful and unhealthy plastics, nor was the leather imprinted.

The dial is white with a silver coloured bar index and hands. There are two Arabic black numerals on the dial. In addition, below the bar index, the minutes and seconds are shown in Arabic digits.

The clockwork is a quartz mechanism and the water density is 3 bar.

The other variants of the Jacques Farel Hayfield collection are available in two sizes. They are available with a casing diameter of 38 and 42 mm. There is no distinction between men’s and women’s watches, the beautiful but simple models can be used universally. The version which is 42 mm in diameter also has three chronographs made of wood displaying date and day of the week.
