The Smartwatch
In the era of digitalization, young people can usually barely do without their mobile companions. Sometimes it’s a smartphone, then a tablet or many other wireless devices – and the smartwatch has also been available for several years now. A smartwatch is an electronic wristwatch that is equipped with additional sensors, vibrations and computer functions and connectivity.
Current smartwatches can display additional information apart from the time and they can be upgraded by the user with new functions, usually via additional programs called „Apps“. This means, for example, you can send messages, listen to music or use the watch when working out.
With the smartwatches, this usually works wirelessly via Bluetooth. You can connect your smartwatch to your smartphone and the appropriate mobile app to exchange the data. Smartwatches are usually provided with rechargeable batteries, which must be recharged regularly. The operating time of a smartwatch without recharging is greatly limited by the type of display, the complexity of the electronic elements, and the connectivity. Manufacturer specifications indicate run times from one day up to a few days, in special cases with limited functionality even up to two years.
Features of the Garmin 010-01338-21 Smartwatch
The Garmin 010-01338-21 smartwatch features countless functions. It can receive notifications for e-mails, SMS or phone calls. This works via Bluetooth and the app Garmin Connect Mobile. It also has an activity tracker that counts steps, calorie consumption, distance and sleep activity. In addition, training functions can be activated for swimming, running, cycling or indoor sports. There are also pre-set sports profiles for triathlon or skiing with specific data fields. Track and waypoint navigation using GPS and GLONASS receivers will never let you down. This smartwatch leaves no wishes unfulfilled and includes a large amount of possible smartwatch features.
The watch is made of a black-coated stainless-steel bracelet and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Here you can clearly see again just how versatile the dial is.
